Authorities in Kashmir had quarantined 78 people, who arrived here from Leh in Ladakh Union Territory, for suspected novel Coronavirus infection. Two-week quarantine was made mandatory for all persons coming to Kashmir from Ladakh following detection of positive Coronavirus cases.
“They (people) belong to various parts of Kashmir, including Kupwara, Baramulla in north, Anantnag, Pulwama in south and a few from Chanapora and Nishat in central Kashmir’s Srinagar,” official sources said.
Sources said that the people are going home after completing their quarantine period. “This was the first batch that successfully completed two-week quarantine time in a hotel in Srinagar,” they added.
